GARDEN
Barbara and Kim Avery
6461 Christchurch-Akaroa Road, Robinsons Bay

Kim and Barbara purchased their Robinsons Bay farm in 2015 and moved here permanently in February 2021. The garden is 5 years in the making and has a substantial collection of irises (250 plus), including a large and growing collection of the late Ron Busch’s Irwell Iris. This is an open and sunny garden facing the elements, but proteas thrive here in their dedicated spot. A cottage-style garden has an abundance of different bulbs, roses and lots of delphiniums plus a shade house and a decent-sized veggie patch.  With seats throughout the garden, please take time to sit and enjoy the view.
A new iris nursery with about 400 potted plants will be available for sale, and back at the house are some of Barbara’s pastel art also for sale.
A flower show bench with NZ Iris Society members present will also be available to view.
